Welcome to our online tendering system
Staffordshire Local Involvement Network (LINk) is one of 152 local involvement networks (LINks)
that were set up in England by Act of Parliament in 2007. Described by the government as 'a new style of active politics',
LINks have been designed to enable everyone who uses publicly-funded health and adult social care services – patients, carers,
families – to have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect the way these services are provided locally.
Staffordshire LINk is made up of volunteers, community groups and voluntary organisations from across the county who each bring
with them different experiences and levels of understanding of health and social care services. It is important to emphasise that
as well as harnessing individual experience and opinion, a LINk is about tapping into existing networks and groups who have an interest
in or care about improving the quality of health and social care services in their area.
Staffordshire LINk:
- Seeks out and listens to the views of people across Staffordshire
- Receives feedback about what the county needs and wants from its health and social care services
- Engages with the community and find out peoples’ views
- Makes recommendations to the people who plan and run services
- Carries out visits, when necessary, to see how services are being delivered
- Refers issues to the local council’s Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee if it seems that action is not being taken on recommendations.
A fully functioning LINk means that it is independent of the local council and NHS but works in partnership with health and social care agencies,
as a critical friend, to maintain and improve on what already exists.
The LINk may on occasions have need to undertake pieces of work in order to deliver its work plan. This may involve work such as research, engagement,
consultations, marketing and publications. If you are interested in tendering for any of this work, please register your details on our website and you
will notification of any relevant future tendering opportunities.
